Reduce Anxiety During Job or Career Change

Updated: Apr 30, 2022

Changing or starting a job or new career path can create a normal amount of anxiety-a little or a lot. Anxiety changes the way you perceive situations, the way your brain deals with the information that you get through your senses-what you physically see or pay attention to, for example. A lot of anxiety can keep you from being your best at an interview or on a job.

An antidote to typical anxiety is MINDFULNESS, a state where you are completely or mostly focused on the PRESENT. Click on the relaxing video here and stay in the present while you view and listen. If your mind wanders, bring it back to the present, to the video. Stay with the video for 30 seconds minimum so that you get a sense of how this form of relaxation works. (Sorry about the ads, but that's how the creator makes his money. Click out of them as soon as possible.)

Next go to our TIPS and TOOLS pages for more information on mindfulness, another tool in your toolbox for getting that job or career change that you are looking forward to.
